Annaluisa Reinert, DPT and Certified Health Coach

The reason why I became a physical therapist was to make a positive impact in people’s lives. It sounds cliché, but I have had a personal history of undergoing physical therapy myself, and I appreciated how much they did for me. It truly changed my life and led me down the path of wanting to influence and make a difference in other people’s lives. I take each patient under my care and develop a team approach to help them where they are at in their life.  No one truly knows how they feel better than themselves; I want to dive into how I can help facilitate you moving better, feeling better, and living a better-quality life. Working one on one with someone to figure out why something isn’t going right or what isn’t working is unique.  Using a variety of techniques and evidence-based practice as well as experience over the years is how I create individualized treatment plans.  Looking beyond just the one area and widening the picture to look at the whole person is how I enjoy treating. I love feedback from patients as to what is going right and what is not working so I can adjust. Taking an active role is something I find imperative that I hope each patient achieves in their treatment. That is why I expanded my education and went on to become a health coach and received my certificate from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. I found that there are other parts of someone’s life that can impact recovery, pain, and healing that need further development. I want to help untangle and guide patients along their journey to live a care-free and pain-free life!

Work Experience

Throughout my career, I have worked in many diverse environments including hospitals, rehab centers, transitional care facilities, and more recently an outpatient clinic. The last 7 years have been spent in outpatient focusing on neurological and orthopedic conditions. I have been truly blessed to have gained such great and vast knowledge in each position and met incredible people along the way. I have worked with various types of physicians and teams to assist in patient care to develop best practices for safety, customer service, and family management. In working with prosthetists, I have been able to assist patients in safe gait/mobility training that have neurological conditions and/or amputations.  Working with different orthopedic surgeons and learning several protocols have allowed me to become flexible at research out there and what best practices are currently.
